Eoghan Ua Cléirigh is an 11th century Connacht Flaith (Noble), of the Uí Fhiachrach Aidhne, living within an ancient crannóg (Fortified Island Home) that is his Túaithe (Land’s) Dun (fortified settlement). He spends his days tending his land, guiding his fine (Clann), leading his kerns (light foot soldiers) on raids, and raising his children with his wife Muirenn inghean Uí Cléirigh.

Muirenn inghean Uí Cléirigh is an 11th century Connacht (central west coast Irish)  Flaith (Noble), who married Eoghan from a neighboring clan.  She and her family reside on the crannog (Fortified Island Home) that his fine (clan) built up over the generations.  She spends her days raising her children, cattle, and kitchen garden as well as foraging for food, medicine and materials for their home and art.  If time allows, she trades pigment supplies at the 300 year old Cong Monastery.
